I'm an education leader, academic administrator, and research scholar with over 15 years of experience across higher education, institutional leadership, faculty management, and teacher development. My Ph.D. research focused on pharmacognostic standardization of medicinal plants, but my real passion has always been building people — students, teachers, and institutions alike.

As Co-Founder & Director of Basileia Academy, I've designed mindset and development programs for 33+ clients and trained over 150 teachers and 720+ students across schools and colleges in Mumbai, Gujarat, and Manipur. I'm also a bilingual public speaker, motivational voice, and trained performer — equally comfortable at a lectern or on a stage.

The Research Problem

Despite its documented use in traditional folk medicine across the Himalayan region, Spermadictyon suaveolens Roxb. remained poorly understood in terms of its phytochemical constituents and pharmacological activities — making its safe, effective, and evidence-based therapeutic application impossible. The lack of standardized phytochemical profiling, inconsistent extraction methodologies, limited knowledge of bioactive compounds and their interactions, and inadequate pharmacological evaluation created a significant scientific gap.

This research directly addressed these challenges by providing a comprehensive, scientifically rigorous characterization of the plant — from its morphological identity through to its molecular bioactive profile and validated therapeutic activities — setting a new benchmark for the study of this species and contributing meaningfully to the evidence base for herbal medicine.

Research Significance & Contribution to Science

By systematically characterizing Spermadictyon suaveolens Roxb. for the first time at this depth — combining quality control, pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, multi-platform chemical fingerprinting and multi-activity pharmacological screening — this work establishes a validated scientific foundation for the plant's evidence-based therapeutic use. The chemical fingerprint profiles developed through HPTLC, HPLC, GC-MS and FTIR provide robust tools for quality assurance in herbal medicine, while the pharmacological data on antioxidant, anticancer, antidiabetic and antimicrobial activities opens new avenues for pharmaceutical development.
